The She Bangs Shed Official Opening Day! 

 

Come along to the Mini ToolSchool Taster.  It's a low pressure, uplifting, female-focused beginner-friendly event, and you'll meet other women keen to D-I-Y and get on the tools.

Enjoy a mini workshop to learn to drill, plus either morning or afternoon tea (depending on your booked workshop time). 


D-I-Y demonstrations, Tool display, Fun Games to test & build your handy knowledge, Q & A with handywoman Sam, + Giveaways!

 

All Tools, Materials, Resources & loan of PPE (safety glasses & hearing protection) provided, plus snacks and tea/coffee for morning/afternoon tea

You are welcome to BYO drill if you have one - it's a great way to get practice and confidence on your own tools. 

 

WHO: 6 beginner D-I-Yers per workshop time

WHAT: Approx 1hr workshop + morning/afternoon tea with D-I-Y demonstrations, Tool display, Fun Games to test & build your handy knowledge, Q & A with handywoman Sam, + Giveaways!

WHEN: Saturday 18th July

TIMES: choose either  9am – 10:45am | 10am – 11:50am  | 1pm – 2:45pm | 2pm – 3:50pm

  • NOTE: morning workshops available first, and afternoon will become available once booked out

WHERE: She Bangs Shed; North Toowoomba (exact address will be provided)

WHY: To officially launch the She Bangs Shed and the arrival of ToolSchool in Toowoomba!

Workshop FAQs

I've never done any D-I-Y before - can I still join?

Yes!  This workshop is specially tailored to beginners.  All women welcome.   

 

Will I be taught how to do it?

Absolutely! Although this is a taster workshop, you’ll get a good introduction to using a drill with demonstrations & supervised practice.   

 

Do I need my own tools?

No, it's not required. However, if you do have your own, you can bring it along because getting familiar by practicing on your own tools is ideal! 

 

What do I need to bring?

1. Closed toe shoes or boots   2. Clothes you're ok to get dirty/dusty (no singlets or baggy clothes)   3.  A water bottle   4.  Your own tools (if you have a drill)  5.  Reading glasses, if needed   6. (Optional) You’re welcome to BYO PPE, plus BYO morning tea or milk of you have special dietary requirements

 

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are not possible.  Due to the time and costs incurred to run the workshop (whether or not you show up), it is not feasible to refund. This workshop is a special, one off opening day price, and your cancellation may mean someone else missed out on the spot.
